European Film College has one annual film foundation programme, running from mid-August to mid-May.

The next 1-year film foundation programme will be:

August 11, 2025 - May 9, 2026

There is a Christmas holiday from December 15th, 2025, to January 3rd, 2026, where the school is closed. There is also no mandatory teaching during the Easter Holiday (the school is open, though).

DKK 108,720 (3,020 per week in 36 weeks)

TOTAL AMOUNT: DKK 116,220 (app. €15,500 or $17,400)

The total amount above covers all teaching, accommodation in shared double room, food, most film production costs (except for extra curricular films), and a student trip to a film festival. It also covers a small amount of pocket money (see under 'Material account').

We have a limited number of single rooms, that you can apply for in your registration. If you manage to get a single room, there is a supplement of DKK 325 per week, amounting to a total of DKK 11,700 per year.

The DKK 5,000 that you pay for Material Account will be used to pre-pay for your student trip, teaching materials etc.

The remaining amount (app. DKK 1500) will be accessible for you at the school and can be used to buy washing cards, postage, equipment, merchandise etc. at the office - and you can take out cash for pocket money.

You can also deposit extra money on your material account, if you run out. You will only be able to access your personal material account on weekdays during office hour.

All students pay a deposit of DKK 2,000. We will refund the deposit to you after you've left (minus your bank's transfer fees), if your room is found in good condition, your material account is balanced etc.
