The college has existed since 1993. The campus
designed by the Finnish architects Heikkinen and
Komonen is situated in beautiful countryside
on the East coast of Jutland in the picture-
sque old town of Ebeltoft. Over the years, the
European Film College has grown into a true
community of film enthusiasts and you, too,
will come into a life-long network of friends.
reSponSibilitieS
Filmmaking is a collective enterprise where
students work together in groups. A shared
responsibility for social life at the college
and a mutual respect for your fellow
students and project partners are
important components of the learning
environment. Every student is assigned to
a crew with 13 other students. Each crew takes
turns handling practical kitchen and cleaning
assignments.
SurroundingS
The area is scenic and ideal for running or hiking.
There is a fitness centre nearby and a public
indoor pool with reduced admission for
students. The Danish capital, Copenhagen,
is less than 3 hours away by bus. Aarhus, the
nearest city, is less than an hour away.
An international airport is located within
20 minutes of the school.
