As a foreigner you need a residence permit to study at the European Film College for the 8,5 months course. This does not, however, apply to citizens of the other Scandinavian countries (Sweden, Norway, Finland and Iceland).
We strongly recommend that you do not start the residence permit process before your arrival at the European Film College in September. First of all, it will be cheaper for you as some of the fees are not applicable in Denmark, and secondly we have many years experience and will be able to guide you through the application process. We will coordinate the application process for all our foreign students and will be able to advise you if you have any questions.
If you are citizen of one of the countries where a visa is required before entry into Denmark, the situation is different. Here you must apply for and obtain a visa and residence permit prior to your entry into Denmark.
