Captains log. April 16th 2010: A day in the life of a CA
This has been a good day. There wasn't planned. Got up at around 8.30. Ate breakfast, checked my mail and all that stuff. Checked the schedule. It still said only one trip to drive at 19.00. Did a bit of editing. Had time for 20-30 mins of PS3 while the film was rendering. Around 11, set it to export and went to work out. Stopped by the office on the way. Was told I had to open the proproom at 13. And drive a couple of trips (14.00, 17.45 and 19.00). While working out got called up to do another trip at 13. While I'm opening the proproom? Confused. Was back for lunch time at 12.30. Found out the trip at 13 got cancelled. Sitting in the proproom from 13. One person showed up. Closed it at 13.30. Went home to relax, while waiting to drive. Checked mail and schedule. Showed up for the drive at 14.00. No crew. Called crew. They thought it was at 14.30. Went home and relaxed, while waiting to drive. Went to drive at 14.25. Crew ready at 14.40. 15.00 Back at school. Do some editing. 15.15-15.45 meeting. 15.50 called by crew who wants to be driven at 16.20 instead of 17.45. Okay. More editing. Dinner at 18.30. Show up for driving at 19.00. At 19.10 crew decides they don't need to be driven. Go relax instead. 21.45 crew ask to be driven for about 10 mins at 22.30. Okay. Opens the bar at 22. 22.35 drives crew. Crew gives wrong directions and trips is 20-25 mins each way. 23.30 back at bar. 0.30 tired and hungry. Pizza and then bed.

As Nick thought he had some time left after working this and on his own website and film projects, why not an EFC blog?
