www.the-internet-doc.com

This is your chance to get a credit and to be part of something bigger than what you might have tried before: on www.the-internet-doc.com, everybody is invited to contribute in his or her very special way.

The basic goal of this project - initiated and run by current student Christoph Lindemann - is to start the first online community created documentary movie and provide a basic website to coordinate it's creation.

The documentary's content is the internet itself, and is going to be presented in four seperate parts.
The first part focusing on the media, streaming and piracy is going to be released on the 15th of February.

Visit www.the-internet-doc.com to take a closer view and participate.

We are happy to welcome a new group of aspiring filmmakers an actors to 8½ months of intense teaching, film production, film screenings, film discussions and educational crew work. Let's hope they'll conquer the tough business of filmmaking some day!
JIm Fernald, screenwriting teacher at EFC, will lead an international workshop in Portimau, Portugal, from September 4th to 12th 2010. Jan Harlan, executive producer of Stanley Kubrick's most acclaimed films and a close friend of the EFC community, will appear as special guest on the workshop.
This year's edition of Final Cut, the notorious year book of EFC, is now available both online and in print. This time, our students surpassed the level of student photos and produced a portrait series which will be hard to live up to!
Last week of May EFC hosted the first Danish 3D workshop for professionals. About 70 cinematographers - some with impressive credits and others fresh from film school - attended this week-long opportunity to a hands-on experience with the future of film.
Wim Wenders visited European Film College during the first week of May. We are honored to have welcomed one of the most influential European directors and winner of several of the most prestigious film awards through the last 25 years.
Jasmila Zbanic being interviewed at the Sarajevo Film Festival 2009
One of the most promising European directors, Jasmilla Zbanic from Bosina Hercegovina, visited EFC in May 2010. Jasmila Zbanic won the Golden Bear in Berlin in 2006 for her debut feature Grbavica – a film about the after math of the Balkan war.
Go to www.metfilmschool.co.uk
European Film College and The Met Film School in London join forces: Ebeltoft is suddenly much closer to London due to a marvellous agreement between the two schools. The cooperation includes both course fee discounts and exchange of top lecturers.
As of August 2010 Mette Damgaard-Sørensen will take over as principal at European Film College. Mette has worked within the film business for the last 15 years as film-consultant and producer among other things.
Are you one of our new students? And would you like to meet and talk to a former EFC student? There are plenty of opportunities if you have questions of any kind. Our EFC ambassadors attend several film festivals and are happy to give a first hand presentation of EFC.
A 15-days internship at the Cannes Film Festival offering workshops aimed at young filmmakers, exclusive round-table discussions with prominent filmmakers and official Cannes 2010 accreditation... This is only part of the benefits if you follow the program of The American Pavillion in Cannes. European Film College will sponsor part of the entrance fee for 2 EFC students!
Our very own Rebekkamaria is releasing her new album, Sister Sortie, this week - and the single Corollacious has been elected "Ugens Uundgåelige" (unavoidable of the week) by Danish radio channel P3. The Corollacious video is superbly produced by current EFC students.
With the goodwill and skills of AMOS-FX - a small company specialized in special effect make-up - an EFC film-crew managed to make a group of otherwise handsome students look quite repulsive and unappetizing.
The Internet Doc is a project dedicated to create the world's first documentary movie in cooperation with the whole internet community. Post clips, voiceovers, pictures etc. and the creators will place your contribution exactly where it fits best and credit you for it!
Still from Left-brained Larry & Right-brained Rachel
The beautiful little animation piece Left-brained Larry & Right-brained Rachel which was one of the Final Projects in spring 2009 has reached 20.000 hits as a show reel on Vimeo's new HD channel.
RebekkaMaria has picked a music video produced by EFC Students to go with her newly released single Oh Solitude. A naive, hand-made style with card-board figures correlates nicely with the sunny voice and lyrics of the single.
Animation expert Victoria Livingstone will visit the EFC in January 2010. V. Livingstone was one of the lead animators on Happy Feet and her track record includes Star Wars episodes I and II, Mars Attacks, Pirates of the Caribbean and The Golden Compass.
Electro/Pop artist RebekkaMaria will work together with students from the European Film College in the production of music videos to her coming album. Last year's music video project was made in cooperation with Danish hit band Diefenbach consisting of four male musicians. This year we go solo - and Female!
The fabulous Danish klezmer band Mames Babegenush gave a concert at European Film College. Thank you so much for coming Mames - we'd love to see you back here anytime!
In order to develop and explore gastronomic potential, European Film College invites committed citizens of the world with an interest in food, nutrition and cooking to contribute their creativity in our food exchange program.
With more to come the list of prominent guests coming to the EFC during the 2009/2010 course is already amazing. World famous directors, recognized artists and inspiring decision-makers from the film-industry will be part of the experience for our new students.
After 8 ½ months of filmmaking 110 EFC-students left the college on May 10th. Some of them to pursue a career in film production companies some to start as students on film or media schools. We wish them all good luck after a very productive year!
The EFC is present again in this year’s Cannes Festival. With Lars von Trier, Jane Campion, Ken Loach, Pedro Almodóvar and Quentin Tarantino in the main competition this year’s programme is both star-studded and overwhelming. Our hope is that we manage to persuade a couple of prominent filmmakers to visit the EFC during the 09/10 course.
Thomas Vinterberg stopped by the EFC for some days during the making of this year's Final Projects. Not only did he share his own experiences he also did one-on-ones with the students about how to approach their Final Projects.
Another Diefenbach music video has premiered with the third single - "You're my people" - from the album Dark Spinner which has just been released. And on Friday the 6th of March some of our students shot a concert-film with Diefenbach.
Diefenbach - upcoming Danish band - is among the 4 top nominees at one of the most prestigious Danish music awards, P3 Guld, with their latest album "Dark Spinner". This is particularly interesting for the EFC students since "Dark Spinner" was the basis for their music video project in Fall 08.
EFC's screen-writing teacher Jim Fernald recently spent two weeks in NYC at a well-attended seminar with Robert McKee, a guru in screen-writing. This might result in a McKee workshop at the EFC!
Camera-freaks among our new students will be thrilled to know that we've just purchased 10 new Panasonic AG-HPX500E high definition cameras. This will definitely enhance the pleasure of camera-classes and shootings and also please connoisseurs of new technology.
Two current EFC students, Rick Burnham and Søren Højen, got through the eye of the needle and will pursue an acting career at well known Stella Adler Acting Academy in New York when they leave the European Film College.
